There’s no such thing as half-mutant. Being a mutant is a binary condition—you either are or you aren’t.

Abigail Brand is a hybrid, half-human and half-alien. Additionally, she is a mutant, having traits and abilities not present in either of her fore bearers.

Same thing for the Sub-Mariner, for those who asked. He’s not half a mutant, he’s a mutant, and also a Human/Atlantean hybrid.

As I wrote the scene which outed Brand and I suspect the questioner is referring to, it’s worth stressing that how she phrases it is a rhetorical flourish.

Agent Brand: Half human, half alien. ALL AWESOME.
